Declaration for the Right to Libraries - River Ridge High School

On February 14th, 2014, the River Ridge High School Library in Lacey, WA, hosted a Read-In event where students were invited to celebrate their love of reading by spending the day in the library, wrapped up in blankets and in comfortable clothes, quietly reading the book(s) of their choice.  Library staff simultaneously organized a signing of the Declaration for the Right to Libraries for the same day, and invited students and staff alike to stop in and sign throughout the school day, another ingenious way of incorporating the Declaration into an existing event.
