There is a special event occurring at the NAME of SCHOOL library on DATE and I want you to be part of it. The American Library Association is sponsoring a signing of the Declaration for the Rights of Libraries. This document is a way to show your support for our school’s library and the right to a vibrant school library for our students. Research shows that school libraries, staffed by credentialed school librarians, are crucial for student academic achievement. School libraries address curriculum and student learning needs, and are the best positioned to teach the fundamental skills essential for college and career readiness. You have always been a wonderful supporter and, by signing this declaration, you can be part of a very exciting event. I have invited the local media to cover this event. Please come to NAME of SCHOOL, ADDRESS, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and be a part of this historic night.
