Libraries Transform

Libraries Transform (logo)Libraries Transform is the American Library Association’s new, multi-year public awareness campaign. Its ultimate goal is to increase funding support for libraries and advance information policy issues in alignment with ALA advocacy goals. Visit for more information. The Libraries Transform Toolkit has posters, postcards and videos. Registration is required, but it's quick and easy to do.

The Campaign for America’s Libraries and the trademarked @your library® brand was retired in 2015 to make way for the Libraries Transform public awareness campaign.  Read about the history of the Campaign for America's Libraries.


Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle PSAs

In conjunction with the anticipated release of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” on Dec. 20, 2017, American Library Association (ALA) and Sony Pictures are offering free action-packed audio and video PSAs.  Available for download until Feb. 28, the library-themed announcements feature Jack Black and promote transformative resources libraries and library staff offer.

As the first African American principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, Misty Copeland's leadership inspires young people to pursue their dreams regardless of the challenges they encounter. She is the author of several bestselling books, including Ballerina Body, published in March 2017.

The I Love My Librarian Award invites library users nationwide to recognize the accomplishments of the exceptional public, school, college, community or university librarians. Up to 10 librarians are selected. Each receives a $5,000 cash award, a plaque and a travel stipend to attend the awards ceremony and reception in New York City, hosted by Carnegie Corporation of New York.

Teen Titans served as honorary chairs for Library Card Sign-up Month 2017!

Pr: osteThe only thing more powerful than a Teen Titan? A library card!DC's crimefighting Super Heroes, the Teen Titans, teamed up with the American Library Association (ALA) to promote the value of a library card in September. As honorary chairs, DC’s Teen Titans reminded parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is the first step towards academic achievement and lifelong learning.

Teen Titans posters and bookmarks are available through the ALA Store. Free resources for libraries include print and digital public service announcements (PSAs) featuring Teen Titans, sample press release, proclamation, and PSA scripts. Artwork for billboards and Teen Titans artwork for library cards will be provided.
