Advocacy is a year-round commitment. It’s about cultivating a relationship that earns the trust of lawmakers and wins victories, step by step over time. ALA facilitates year-round advocacy, offering all library advocates tips on how and when to engage. ALA also schedules Hill meetings for its members year-round, whenever they visit D.C., and provides resources to maximize the efficacy of those meetings.
