C&RL News Classified Advertising
College & Research Libraries News is published 11 times per year on the first of every month except August. A combined July/August issue is published July 1. C&RL News prints classified ads, primarily for job postings, in each issue. Advertisers may purchase line or display advertisement for the print edition; an online version of each print advertisement can be purchased for a nominal fee and will run for 60 days on the ALA JobLIST Web site. Online-only advertisements are also available.

Submission Instructions
All classified advertising orders for ACRL's C&RL News, ALA's American Libraries, and online-only ads are submitted through ALA's online resource, ALA JobLIST - the number one source for jobs in Library and Information Science and Technology (http://joblist.ala.org). Please note that ads are not accepted via e-mail, nor do we hold space via insertion orders. Ads are only assured placement in the proper issue if they are placed through the JobLIST system.

Deadlines
Print advertisements will be accepted through the 5th of the month (e.g., Oct. 5 for the November issue). If the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday, the closing date is the next business day. Deadlines do not apply to online-only advertisements, which are posted every business day.
Late advertisements for the print edition are accepted on a space-available basis from the 6th through approximately the 12th of each month, subject to a late ad fee.
Note: Issues mail the first week of the month of publication and take one to two weeks to reach subscribers at the periodical rate. To ensure that your ad reaches readers in time for them to see it and apply by your deadline, we recommend that the application deadline listed in your ad be no earlier than the 20th of the month of publication (e.g., May 20 if published in May issue).
Line Ad Rates
Regular (Non-member) Rate: $15.00/line
ACRL Institutional Member Rate: $12.50/line
Late Submission Fee: An additional $100 per ad will be charged for late ads.

Display Ad Rates
Display ads are formatted ads, either laid out by C&RL News staff in a basic, standard style or supplied by the advertiser as a camera-ready PDF. Please note that C&RL News sizes differ from American Libraries. A full page of content in C&RL News is 5" wide by 8" high. If you elect to submit a PDF, please verify your dimensions are correct to avoid revisions. Ads laid out by C&RL News staff are limited to the in-house style.

Late Display Ads
An additional $100 per ad will be charged for display ads received after the deadline (the 5th of the preceding month; i.e., September 5 for the October issue); late ads are accepted on a space-available basis only until roughly the 12th of the month.
Online-Only Ads
Online ads are posted every business day, and have a standard run time of 60 days.
Regular (Non-member) Rate: $85 base, plus $0.90/word
ALA Institutional Member Rate: $70 base, plus $0.75/word
Discounts
- A 10% discount is offered for print ads placed in both C&RL News and American Libraries for the same issue.
- Online ads (standard 60-day run) are available for a flat $70 (ALA institutional member) or $85 (non-member) with the purchase of a corresponding print ad.
