Managing change effectively requires paying as much (or more) attention to the human elements as the technical and operational ones. Understanding how people perceive change, how it affects them, and why they may not immediately embrace it will help you avoid many of the pitfalls on the way to implementation. During this webcast, we will analyze several different scenarios and practice techniques that you can use in real-life situations and conversations. We will also explore dilemmas that you may encounter in your own organization, such as the tradeoff between giving people incomplete information during the early stage of a change versus more complete information at a later stage.

Learning Outcomes

  • use effective communication strategies when presenting information about change
  • identify and address the common types of resistance to change
  • choose the most relevant approach for gaining commitment to change
  • anticipate and work through typical change management dilemmas
