Describe ACRL in three words

Supportive, inviting, scholarly.

What prompted you as a student to join ACRL?

I wanted to expand my opportunities to make connections with other scholars in my field. I also wanted to stay current with the most pressing issues facing academic libraries.

What are your career goals? How might ACRL help you achieve those goals?

I am currently interested in pursing a career in health sciences librarianship with an emphasis on complementary and alternative medicine. I believe that the continuing education and mentorship programs within the ACRL will benefit my career trajectory.

In your own words

Being a librarian provides an incredible opportunity to shape how information is stored, distributed, and interpreted. I hope to push the boundaries on conventional forms of knowledge and knowing so that everyone has access to discovering new ways of being and creating. Humans have the capacity to do so much good in the world and librarians have the unique opportunity to support that by encouraging life-long learning and growth in every community.
