ACRL 75th Anniversary Celebration Task Force
To create opportunities for celebrating the ACRL diamond jubilee anniversary by developing and coordinating celebratory events and activities to recognize the past and envision the future. Specific projects include: create opportunities for members to share memories of ACRL; work with the C&RL Editorial Board explore plans for a special anniversary edition of C&RL; commission a report on the future of academic librarianship to be published by March 2015; develop a program based on the report on the future of academic librarianship to be held at the 2015 ALA Annual Conference; work with the ACRL 2015 Conference Coordinating Committee to develop anniversary program and/or event for the ACRL 2015 conference. The Task Force may submit proposal for additional projects to the ACRL Board of Directors for approval.
The Task Force will coordinate activities with the ACRL 2015 Conference Coordinating ((and the appropriate component committee), Publications Coordinating, Professional Development, and Membership Committees and the C&RL Editorial Board.
Membership should include a variety of seasoned leaders who have demonstrated successful project management for ACRL and newer members. Emerging Leaders may be a pool to consider.
The 75th Anniversary Celebration Task Force was established by the ACRL Board of Directors at the 2012 Annual Conference.
