I'm head of the Chemistry Library at UT-Austin, working with collections and services related to chemistry, chemical engineering, and nutrition in a large, branched research library environment. I've also been heavily involved in WWW/Internet services, publishing, and training. My personal areas of focus tend to lie in serials management, collection development, and scholarly communication trends. Before coming to Texas I was a librarian in the chemistry and engineering libraries at the Univ. of Michigan at Ann Arbor and in reference at the Sci/Eng Lib at the Univ. of Arizona where I attended library school.

My experience has been solely in academic libraries (both large and small) and I've done just about everything from managing a library to doing reference and collection development work. My primary areas of subject expertise are in biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, and health sciences.
