EXPERIENCE/EXPERTISE:
20 exciting years as a librarian--beginning in acquisitions at the National Library of Australia, moving to running small special libraries including Trade Practices Commission, Inter-state Commission; 3 years part time at the Parliamentary Library as reference and then worked in environment/ecology libraries with a strong science focus. Am at the National Library of Australia in charge of services to libraries including national bibliographic database and interlending, have been head of reference services here too.

Convenor, Federal Libraries Information Network for 5 years (see http://www.nla.gov.au/flin). President, ACT Branch, Australian Library and Information Association. Among main areas of interest--use of the Internet, role of librarians in a converging world, promotion/marketing of library services, and national information policy.
