I have been working for twenty years in Swarthmore's Science Library, and have experienced A LOT of changes over those years. I have a wide range of experience running a very busy branch library, including dealing with personnel (both student & permanent), collection development, bibliographic instruction, building/construction woes, dealing with faculty, and much more. My educational background was not in the Sciences, but in the Humanities and Social Sciences, so most of my science knowledge comes from being on the job. Swarthmore is part of a TriCollege consortium with Haverford and Bryn Mawr, which has provided me with some valuable experience dealing with other staffs, faculty and administration.
