Helpful Information

All members of the Advisory Board have specific responsibilities that are dependent on their role or committee assignment.

Committee appointments are made by the Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect of the Instruction Section. IS members are encouraged to submit a Committee Volunteer Form by February 15 if they wish to serve on a committee or task force. Most appointments are made in the spring with the term of service beginning immediately following the ALA Annual Conference in the summer. The Appointment Cycle Reports show the demographics of current and past IS committee appointees.
