Readers' Advisory Interest Group


To provide a forum for academic librarians who are interested in recreational reading promotion and reading scholarship. To this end, members of the Readers’ Advisory Interest Group will maintain a website and blog that gathers news, ideas, and resources on these topics as well as facilitates discussion about them.

As of August 2017, the RAIG had 138 members. Interest Group composition includes a convener and incoming convener.


The Readers' Advisory Interest Group was established by the ACRL Board of Directors at the 2015 Fall Executive Committee Meeting. The next renewal date for this interest group is the 2019 ALA Annual Conference.
