Librarianship in For-Profit Educational Institutions Interest Group
- A forum for librarians in for-profit educational institutions to network, share knowledge, and collaborate on tasks, direction, and issues specific to their roles within the for-profit education industry.
- Discussions and programs related to identifying best practices, trends, and technologies aiding librarians for alignment with institutional outcomes, student learning objectives, accreditation standards, government principles, and other guidelines specific to the for-profit higher education industry.
- Information and education to libraries and other academic professionals about the role of librarians in for-profit educational institutions.
- Advocacy for librarians and library resources and services in for-profit educational institutions and the field of librarianship and academia as a whole.
As of August 2016, the LFPEIIG had 195 members. Interest Group composition includes a convener and incoming convener.
The Librarianship in For-Profit Educational Institutions Interest Group was established at the 2012 ALA Annual Conference.
