First meeting of the Young People's Reading Round Table; now part of Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA).

According to the International Encyclopedia of Information and Library Science, this round table was founded as part of the Children's Library Association.

Voya magazine states that in this title' "young people” referring to those later called “young adults” '.

The Hathi Trust has digitized a publication from this round table entitled "List of one hundred titles which reflect the contemporary life of North America's young people". This publication dates from 1941.
