AASL seeks new SLMR Editor AASL is seeking an Editor for its online research journal, School Library Media Research (SLMR), to head the refereeing process, chair the Editorial Board and coordinate all aspect of the publication process. Application deadline: May 4, 2007.

Complimentary disaster preparedness workshop in D.C. AASL preconference workshop “Disaster Preparedness for School Library Media Specialists,” will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007, 8 a.m. – noon. Beyond Words: the Dollar General school library relief fund is sponsoring the event.

K-12 education issues to headline AASL’s President’s Program in D.C. The AASL 2007 President’s Program: “The Opportunity: From ‘Brutal Facts’ to the Best Schools We’ve Ever Had,” with Mike Schmoker will be held on Saturday, June 23, 10:30 a.m. to noon, during the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.
