Working with AASL

The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) is seeking proposals for Professional Development and Publications.

Proposals for Professional Development can include, but are not limited to: e-Academy courses (4-week, synchronous or asynchronous courses using Moodle), webinars/webcasts that are 30-60 minutes in length, and other online learning options (podcasts, mobile learning, etc.).

Proposals for Publications can include, but are not limited to: monographs of up to 50 pages, brief publications (8-12 pages), workbooks, white papers, brochures, and e-books.

Please fill out the form below. Upon receipt, AASL staff will review your proposal, with guidance from the AASL Professional Development Advisory Group and/or AASL Publications Advisory Group. If there is an interest in your proposal, a form will be sent requesting more detailed information. You should expect an initial response from AASL staff within 1-2 weeks of submitting this form.

What is the significance of this to the school library profession and how does it differ from other topical sources currently available? How does this proposal relate to AASL’s Standards for the 21st-Century Learner and/or Empowering Learners: Guidelines for School Library Programs?
