AASL Board of Directors approves development of L4L Learning 4 Life (L4L) is the 3-5 year plan that will be implemented in fall 2008 to help gain national attention for AASL's "Standards for the 21st-Century Learner" and the guidelines for implementing the standards. Use of social networking tools in schools explored in AASL’s second longitudinal survey Selected questions from AASL’s second longitudinal survey focused on the use of social networking tools by school library media specialists and their teacher collaborators in elementary and secondary schools. Questions focused on which social networking tools schools utilized in preparing their students for learning in the 21st century. Final results of the 2008 survey will be released in August 2008.
