This unique resource allows students from across the world to enter their own DNA information and see where their characteristics fall in worldwide databases, an excellent example of collaborating across geographical boundaries in useful ways for social learning.

National Mock Election
The self-proclaimed “nation’s largest civic education project,” The National Student/Parent Mock Election gives students the opportunity to participate with over 20% of the nation's schools in a mock environment for presidential, gubernatorial, and Congressional elections. There are excellent curriculum guides and printable worksheets for all grades.

SUNY-Buffalo’s Case Studies in Science
Bringing real-world case studies to the classroom, this website allows SUNY research to reach a wider audience, allowing librarians and teachers to more easily facilitate authentic connections in the classroom.

Survey Monkey and Zoomerang are two great resources that have both free and fee-based survey options that include multiple-choice and free response questions. Both will compile data into useful reports. Be careful of free survey limitations before launching a large-scale project!
