Repurposing and Managing the Brands Task Force
Staff liaison: Stephanie Book
To determine what the brands “school librarian” and “L4L” and “@your library” mean to our customer base and stakeholders in current and potential new communities/markets (charter schools, home schoolers, etc.) and what additional strategies are needed to further define and develop the brands as a means to create value for them by differentiating ourselves and our services from competitors (i.e. entities such as large scale book stores; search engines/portals; eCommerce focused on information resources; free content encyclopedias; free online education sources.)
Connect with the AASL Advocacy Committee and Research & Statistics Committee to determine what work has already been done and what data/evidence collected and how it can be utilized;
Identify stakeholder/customer base/target audiences in order to conduct current assessment;
Develop data collection tools - including at a minimum a survey instrument and focus group question set;
Administer survey and conduct focus groups;
Analyze data collected in combination with previous efforts and submit final report with suggested strategies and any additional recommendation.
