This issue explores the exciting ways in which school librarians and teachers work together, and what effect teaching collaboration has on school library programs and students. Guest Co-Editors

Judi Moreillon is an assistant professor in the School of Library and Information Studies at Texas Woman’s University, author of Coteaching Reading Comprehension Strategies in Secondary School Libraries: Maximizing Your Impact (ALA Editions 2012) and Collaborative Strategies for Teaching Reading Comprehension: Maximizing Your Impact (ALA Editions 2007). She served as the chair of the AASL School Librarian’s Role in Reading Task Force. Her website is storytrail.com. Judi has also authored and illustrated an Animoto video to spotlight the benefits of coteaching.

Susan D. Ballard is the President-elect of AASL, where she currently serves as a member of the EBSCO K-12 Advisory Board and the Editorial Advisory Board for Knowledge Quest. She is a lecturer at the University of Vermont and an adjunct professor at Simmons College/GSLIS. Susan is also a past-president of the New Hampshire Educational Media Association (NHEMA) and of the New England School Library Association (NESLA). She is cited in ALA’s Whole School Library Handbook as one of the country’s “103 Outstanding School Librarians” and in 2008 was a charter inductee to the NESLA Hall of Fame.
