ACRL announces 2007 Best Practices in Marketing Academic and Research Libraries @ your library® award

 

CHICAGO - The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) is proud to announce the 2007 Best Practices in Marketing Academic and Research Libraries @ your library® award.   Sponsored by the ACRL Marketing Academic and Research Libraries Committee and funded by Springer, the award will be made to the academic/research library in each category (community college, college, and university) that demonstrates an outstanding best practices marketing program.

 

All winning libraries will receive a plaque and $2,000 in prize money.   The awards will be presented at the 13th ACRL National Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, March 29 - April 1, 2007.

 

Portfolios should contain examples of marketing materials, an account of how the marketing activities are linked to the library's mission and strategic plan, and documentation on the assessment or evaluation of the marketing activities. Portfolio contents should contain evidence that the Campaign for America's Libraries @your library® is an integral part of the marketing effort. The marketing program being submitted must have been in place for at least one year.

 

Portfolios must be postmarked by December 4, 2006, in order to be considered for the 2007 award.
